In this powerful episode of A Changed Mind, David Bayer unveils his deeply personal and transformational creative process—a framework that helped him overcome addiction, financial insecurity, and a life without direction. He shares how he transitioned from being a struggling addict burdened with credit card debt to becoming a successful entrepreneur, husband, father, and spiritual guide. Through over 10,000 coaching conversations with high-performing entrepreneurs, Bayer has refined a process for manifesting transformation by aligning with a higher power and understanding the psychological patterns that hold people back.

At the heart of his method lies the principle that desire is the catalyst for all change. He guides listeners to reflect on what they want and to treat those desires as sacred decisions, avoiding the temptation to resist or rationalize them away. Bayer explains that once a decision is made, the universe—or God—begins organizing thoughts, people, and circumstances to bring that vision into form. The key is not forcing the future, but instead, staying aligned with the vision, noticing synchronicities, and taking inspired micro-actions.

He also explores the common struggle of balancing present-day responsibilities with an ever-expanding vision for the future. His solution is both spiritual and practical: embrace the present moment as the place where the future emerges. Stress and overwhelm come from thinking the present is in the way, but peace and progress come from trusting the unfolding. Bayer emphasizes that transformation is nonlinear and requires patience, surrender, and a new nervous system—what he calls “David 3.0.” Ultimately, he encourages listeners to enjoy the journey, celebrate small wins, and keep dreaming, because “to have a life you love, love the life you have.”
