I want to share something with you that could fundamentally change the way you approach life. As human beings, we’re uniquely designed to create. Think about it—just as birds are born to fly and fish are born to swim, we are born to turn thoughts into things. It’s this ability—to transform an idea into material reality—that separates us from every other species on the planet.

This isn’t a metaphor. It’s literal. Every invention, every work of art, every structure and system in our modern world began as a thought in someone’s mind. And you—yes, you—have that same capacity. Whether it’s financial freedom, vibrant health, a thriving business, or a loving relationship, the power to create lies within you. This isn’t reserved for “special” people. It’s a birthright. Just as fish don’t have to learn how to swim, you don’t have to learn how to create. You just have to remember how to harness it.

Today, I want to break down an equation that has the potential to transform your life in ways you can’t yet comprehend: Desire + Non-Resistance = Desired Result. This isn’t just a concept—it’s a law you can use to shape your reality. The key is understanding what each part of this equation means and how to put it into practice.

Let’s explore how this works.

Creation Is Your Birthright

Your ability to create is as natural as breathing. It’s not something you have to force or struggle with. Just as fish swim and birds fly, humans create. We take what was once just a thought or an idea and turn it into something real. And there’s no limit to what you can create—whether it’s millions in your bank account, a soulmate, a healed body, or a life filled with meaning and joy.

Think about it for a moment. Everything around you right now—the device you’re reading this on, the clothes you’re wearing, even the room you’re sitting in—was once just an idea in someone’s mind. The chair you’re sitting on started as a thought: “What if we could design something comfortable to sit on?” The same creative force that brought that chair into existence exists within you.

But here’s the catch: it’s not desire alone that gets you there. It’s desire paired with non-resistance. This is where many people get stuck. They have the desire, but they’re also carrying resistance—doubt, fear, or limiting beliefs—that blocks their ability to manifest what they want.

The beauty of creation is that it’s an iterative process. Every experience you have in life helps refine your creative ability. When something doesn’t go as planned, it’s not a failure; it’s feedback. It’s life helping you adjust your thoughts, clarify your desires, and align more fully with what you truly want.

Resistance: The Silent Roadblock

Non-resistance is exactly what it sounds like: it’s letting go of the beliefs, thoughts, and feelings that oppose your desires. Think about it. How often do you find yourself wanting something but also doubting that it’s possible? That doubt, that fear, that frustration—it’s all resistance.

For example, if you desire financial abundance but believe you need to work yourself into exhaustion to achieve it, you’re creating resistance. If you desire a loving relationship but think, “There’s no one out there for me,” you’re throwing up a roadblock. Resistance creates a kind of static that blocks the flow of ideas, opportunities, and actions that would otherwise lead you to your goals.

Resistance isn’t fact; it’s just a pattern of thinking. When you think, “I’m not good enough,” does that feel good? Of course not. That’s how you know it’s a resistant thought. The same goes for beliefs like, “There’s not enough time,” or, “I’ll never be able to do this.” None of these thoughts serve you, and they’re not true.

Here’s the good news: resistance can be identified and dismantled. You just need to know what to look for. One way to start is by paying attention to how your thoughts make you feel. If a thought doesn’t feel good, it’s a sign that it’s rooted in resistance. And the moment you identify it, you have the power to challenge it.

For instance, I once worked with someone who had a deeply resistant belief about their career. They felt stuck, constantly telling themselves, “There’s no way I can change jobs in this economy.” That belief created a sense of hopelessness. But when we explored it, they realized it wasn’t true. They started challenging that thought, replacing it with, “The right opportunities are already on their way to me.” Within months, they found a position that was not only a better fit but also paid significantly more.

Desire as Your Guiding Light

Desire is the first part of the equation, and chances are, you already have this down. You’ve spent your whole life building a catalog of desires, whether it’s more money, better relationships, or vibrant health. Every time you experience something you don’t want, you’re actually clarifying what you do want.

Think about it:

  • Every time you feel financial insecurity, you’re building a desire for abundance.
  • Every time someone makes you feel small, you’re building a desire for confidence and self-worth.
  • Every time you see conflict in the world, you’re building a desire for peace and harmony.

These desires haven’t gone anywhere. They’re waiting for you to release resistance so they can materialize in your reality. Desire is like a compass, pointing you toward what you truly want. But desire alone isn’t enough. You need to align with it—and that’s where non-resistance comes in.

Imagine this: Your desire is like a boat on a river. Resistance is the anchor holding it back. No matter how strong the current is, the boat can’t move forward until you release the anchor. Non-resistance is the act of lifting that anchor, allowing your desire to flow toward you naturally.

When you pair your desire with non-resistance, it’s like unblocking a dam. The energy, ideas, and opportunities you need start to flow effortlessly. This is the power of alignment.

Action Without Resistance

Some people confuse this process with magical thinking, assuming desires will materialize without effort. That’s not what I’m saying. Action is part of the process, but it’s inspired action—action that flows naturally when you’re in alignment with your desire.

Take my own experience. My wife and I decided we wanted 300 people at our first live event. Instead of obsessing over how to make it happen, we focused on clearing our resistance—identifying and eliminating the doubts and fears that came up. The result? Not 300, but 330 attendees. The action we took came from a place of alignment, not hustle.

Inspired action often feels different from the hustle-and-grind mindset we’ve been taught. It’s not about forcing things to happen; it’s about being open to the opportunities that naturally arise. When you’re in alignment, you’ll notice synchronicities and “lucky” breaks. But these aren’t luck; they’re the result of you being in the right state of flow.

The Trap of “How” Thinking

One of the biggest traps people fall into is obsessing over how their desires will manifest. Let me tell you: the “how” is not your job. When you pair desire with non-resistance, the path forward reveals itself through synchronicities, ideas, and opportunities.

Years ago, I decided to generate $60,000 from a source unrelated to my primary business. I didn’t know how, but I stayed open. Through a series of seemingly unrelated events, I met someone who introduced me to an investment opportunity, and by the end of the year, I’d achieved exactly what I’d set out to do.

Challenges might show up—they often do—but they’re not roadblocks. They’re part of the process. They help you grow and refine your desires. When resistance shows up, use it as an opportunity to realign. Remember, your current reality is the result of past beliefs and actions. It may take time for your new mindset to reshape your external world, but stay the course.

Your Role in Co-Creation

If you want to start practicing desire and non-resistance, here’s a framework:

  1. Clarify Your Desire: Get clear on what you want. If you’re unsure, think about what you don’t want and identify the opposite.
  2. Identify Resistance: Notice thoughts, beliefs, or emotions that oppose your desire. Write them down.
  3. Challenge and Replace: Question the validity of these resistant thoughts and replace them with empowering ones.
  4. Take Inspired Action: Act on the ideas and opportunities that arise when you’re in alignment with your desire.
  5. Trust the Process: Let go of the “how” and trust that the universe is organizing everything to support your goal.

Living the Equation

At the end of the day, you are a creator. You were born to bring ideas to life, to turn thoughts into things. Whatever your heart desires—financial freedom, a loving relationship, vibrant health—is possible when you pair that desire with non-resistance.

So I’ll leave you with this: desire plus non-resistance equals desired result. Embrace this equation, and watch as your life transforms in ways you never thought possible. And remember, the journey to becoming a conscious creator is one of self-discovery and growth. Every step you take brings you closer to the life you’ve always envisioned.
