A few weeks ago, I held a client retreat with an amazing group of individuals who are working to transform not only their own lives but also the world around them. At one point during the retreat, I asked the group if anyone wanted to share a recent breakthrough or insight that had profoundly shifted their perspective. That’s when Jared stood up.

Jared is a driven and passionate visionary with a bold mission: to challenge the systems of big food and big pharma by creating a parallel, holistic approach to health and wellness. His story was so powerful, and the lessons he shared so universal, that I knew I had to unpack them further with the group. Today, I want to share those insights with you, because they could very well be the key to unlocking your own abundance and purpose.

Jared’s Vision: From Resistance to Creation

When Jared first began his journey, his vision was fueled by frustration. “It was stemmed initially from hatred and just negative energy,” he explained. Jared felt outraged by the systems he saw as broken and harmful, and his motivation came from a desire to fight against them.

But as he shared at the retreat, something shifted in him recently. “About a month ago, it changed from this negative energy to love, excitement, and powerful energy about what we’re creating,” he said.

That pivot—from resisting what he didn’t want to focusing on creating what he did want—was a game changer. “Internally, it’s just very peaceful,” he added. Jared’s story highlights a vital truth: we can’t build something meaningful from a place of resistance. True creation comes from a foundation of love, excitement, and purpose.

Living the Vision: Manifestation in Action

Jared didn’t just talk about his vision—he’s living it. During the retreat, he shared a profound realization he had just eight days earlier. Revisiting notes from a workshop he attended earlier this year, he reflected on the life he had envisioned for himself.

“I pulled out my notes from February, and as I was just sitting there reading, I was like, ‘Holy crap, this is pretty much my life right now.’” He went on to describe the details: waking up without an alarm, enjoying coffee by the beach, and eating food prepared to his exact nutritional standards by his part-time nanny and chef.

These weren’t just random details—they were the markers of the life he had consciously envisioned months earlier. And then, as if the universe wanted to underline the point, something incredible happened.

The Surreal Moment: How Belief Unlocks Abundance

Jared shared a pivotal moment with the group. He had been debating whether to pay his part-time nanny more for her incredible work. Initially, he hesitated, thinking, “We can’t afford that.” But then, he flipped the script in his mind. “Money flows to me,” he told himself.

And here’s where it gets wild. “That was the first time I actually believed it,” Jared said. Within an hour, payments started flowing in—unexpectedly—from a project he had set up weeks ago and forgotten about. Stripe notifications lit up his phone, and new members were joining his gym.

“It was like my surreal kind of moment,” he said, “where I was like, ‘Holy shit, this stuff works.’”

Jared’s experience is a vivid reminder that abundance follows belief. When you align your intentions with the energy of growth and creation, the universe responds.

Money as Energy: Becoming a Steward of Prosperity

One of the insights we explored together at the retreat was the idea that money is energy. I shared with the group that money, like all energy, seeks expansion and creation. But here’s the catch: money doesn’t flow to you just because you want it. It flows when you give it a purpose.

Jared’s decision to pay his nanny more wasn’t just an act of generosity—it was a declaration of abundance. He gave money a reason to flow to him, and the results were immediate.

If we’re stuck in financial insecurity, constantly thinking, “I don’t have enough,” we’re actually blocking the flow of energy. “Me not having enough is not growing, expanding, evolving, or creating,” I told the group. “That’s not a reason for currency to flow to you.”

The lesson here is simple: when you become a steward of money—using it to support growth, whether for yourself or others—it begins to flow effortlessly.

“It Doesn’t Matter”: Releasing Resistance

Another profound takeaway from Jared’s story was his shift from resistance to focus. Early on, Jared was deeply reactive to what he saw as the problems with big food and big pharma. “I don’t really care what they’re doing,” he told us at the retreat. “They’re going to take themselves down.”

This shift ties into a practice I’ve been teaching for years: the power of saying, “It doesn’t matter.” When we stop giving energy to the things we don’t want, we free up that energy to focus on what we do want.

Here’s the key: focusing on what’s wrong only sustains it. “We’re actually sustaining the systems out there that we don’t want because we become educated about how they don’t serve us, and then we focus our attention against them,” I explained during the retreat.

Instead, the practice is to notice what’s wrong, get clear on what you want to create instead, and then let the rest go. Jared nailed it when he said, “I’m clear on what we’re going to go create moving forward.”

The Cause and Effect of Fearlessness

The retreat group and I also explored the idea that fear often keeps us tied to the very things we want to escape. Jared’s transformation—from fear and resistance to love and creation—is a perfect example of how we can break free.

“When we stop giving our attention to those things that scare us,” I told the group, “and direct all of our attention toward our spiritual vision and life vision, the solutions naturally emerge.” The problems we face are often the effect of fear. When we become fearless, we create the conditions for new solutions to arise.

A Collective Shift: Creating a Better Future

Imagine if enough people embraced this practice. What if, instead of feeding energy into broken systems, we collectively focused on creating better ones? At the retreat, I shared my belief that this is entirely possible.

“There will be a point in time where collectively, as a fellowship, we all look at the structures that exist today and go, ‘You no longer matter.’” When that happens, those systems will naturally fade away—not because we fought them, but because we no longer sustain them with our energy.

Moving Forward: Your Energy Matters

Jared’s story is inspiring not just because of his success but because it shows what’s possible when we align with our vision. So let me ask you: where are you putting your energy? Are you feeding the things you don’t want, or are you creating what you desire?

Take a moment to reflect. Write down your vision. Revisit it daily. And start acting as if it’s already happening. Like Jared, you might just find that the universe meets you halfway, bringing abundance and clarity you never imagined possible.

Let’s commit to being creators, not reactors. Together, we can build a world—and a life—rooted in abundance, purpose, and joy. It starts with a single decision: to stop resisting what doesn’t serve you and start building what does.
