For years, I struggled to understand why some people seemed to manifest their dream lives with ease while I kept running into roadblocks. I read all the books, watched all the videos, and followed all the so-called “secrets” to the law of attraction. And yet, my reality wasn’t shifting the way I wanted it to.
If you’ve ever felt this way, you’re not alone. It’s frustrating to feel like you’re doing everything “right” but still seeing little to no results. It makes you wonder if manifestation actually works or if it’s just a myth. I used to think the same way. I was trapped in the cycle of setting goals, visualizing, taking action—only to be met with obstacles that kept me stuck in the same place.
Over the past decade, I’ve gone from battling addiction and financial hardship to building a multimillion-dollar transformational coaching company. And along the way, I discovered a profound truth about how our thoughts become things. This single shift in understanding is what allowed me to manifest exactly what I wanted—every time.
I wish someone had told me this sooner. Because every year I spent not knowing it cost me more time, energy, and money than I’d like to admit. If you’ve been trying to manifest something but feel like you’re spinning your wheels, what I’m about to share with you is going to change everything.
The Real Reason Your Reality Isn’t Changing
You’ve probably heard that your thoughts create your reality. And while that’s true, most people misunderstand how this actually works.
Your thoughts alone don’t shape your reality. It’s your beliefs that determine your thoughts, and those thoughts create emotions that drive your actions—or inaction. Your actions (or lack of action) are what ultimately produce your results.
Let me say that again because it’s critical: Your beliefs create your thoughts. Your thoughts create emotions. Your emotions determine your actions. Your actions create results. And your results reinforce your beliefs.
This is a psychological feedback loop, known as a psycho-cybernetic loop—and it’s the reason most people stay stuck in the same patterns.
For example, let’s say you have a deep-seated belief that money is hard to make. That belief will shape your thoughts (“I’m probably not going to make much money”), which will create emotions like anxiety or doubt. That emotional state then affects your actions—you might procrastinate on making that sales call, or you show up with low confidence. Those actions lead to poor results (you don’t close the deal), which then reinforce the original belief that money is hard to make.
And the cycle continues. The worst part? You don’t even realize this cycle is running your life. It happens automatically, beneath the surface, shaping your decisions, your behaviors, and ultimately, your destiny. Until you break this cycle, no amount of visualization, affirmations, or goal-setting will create lasting change.
Bill Buckner’s Story: The Power of Thoughts in Reality
There’s a famous story about Bill Buckner, the Boston Red Sox first baseman, that illustrates this concept in action.
Nineteen days before the infamous game in the 1986 World Series, Buckner was interviewed and said, “The nightmare is that you’re going to let the winning run score on a ground ball through your legs.”
Fast forward to Game 6, and that exact scenario unfolded. A routine ground ball rolled straight through his legs, costing the Red Sox the game and, ultimately, the championship.
Was it fate? No. It was the direct result of how thoughts and beliefs shape reality. This is how powerful your mind is. Your subconscious is always listening, always taking notes, and always working to prove your deepest beliefs to be true.
Buckner had unknowingly embedded that fear into his mind, and in the most critical moment of his career, his subconscious delivered exactly what he had been thinking about.
The lesson? You don’t manifest what you want. You manifest what you believe to be true about yourself and the world around you. And unless you change those core beliefs, your reality won’t change either.
The Truth About Manifestation: Stop Obsessing Over the “How”
Here’s where most people block their own manifestations: They obsess over how it’s going to happen.
They constantly ask themselves, “How am I going to make more money? How am I going to find the right relationship? How am I going to change my life?”
And by doing that, they kill the manifestation before it even starts. Because when you try to figure out the “how,” you’re operating from a place of lack, resistance, and control. You’re tightening your grip on a process that is meant to unfold naturally.
Think about it—did the Wright brothers know how they were going to achieve flight before they did it? Did Thomas Edison know how he was going to create the light bulb before he had the final breakthrough?
No. They started with a vision and allowed the “how” to reveal itself over time.
Trying to control the process is like standing over a seed you just planted, demanding that it grow immediately. Manifestation requires trust. It requires faith in the unseen. The “how” is none of your business. Your only job is to hold the vision and remove the resistance.
The Equation That Changes Everything
I teach a simple formula that changes the game:
Desire + Non-Resistance = Desired Result
If you have a clear desire, and you remove the resistance around it, your manifestation becomes inevitable. The only thing that ever blocks you from what you want is the resistance you have around it.
And resistance shows up as doubt, fear, and limiting beliefs. “I don’t deserve this.” “It’s not possible.” “It’s too hard.”
So instead of focusing on forcing results, shift your focus to removing resistance. That means:
- Identifying and eliminating limiting beliefs
- Trusting that the “how” will unfold naturally
- Staying in a state of faith and expectation rather than worry and doubt
Because here’s the truth: Manifestation isn’t about making things happen—it’s about allowing things to happen.
The Moment I Manifested My Wife
Let me give you a real-world example of how this works.
I spent ten years single, working on myself, and growing in my personal development journey. One day, I made a decision—I was going to meet and marry the woman of my dreams. I didn’t know how. I didn’t need to.
Two weeks later, through a crazy sequence of coincidences, I met Carol, my wife. If I had tried to force it or control the process, I probably would have sabotaged it. But because I had zero resistance and complete faith, the universe aligned everything for me.
This is how reality actually works.
Final Thoughts: Start Applying This Today
If there’s one thing I want you to take away from this, it’s this:
The moment you have a desire, all of creation begins moving to fulfill it. Your only job is to remove the resistance and allow it to unfold.
So today, I challenge you:
- Get crystal clear on what you want.
- Stop trying to control the “how.”
- Identify and eliminate the limiting beliefs holding you back.
- Step into a state of faith and non-resistance.
The future you desire is already on its way. The only question is: Will you allow it?
