In this episode of A Changed Mind, David Bayer shares one of his most transformative tools for personal growth: journaling, specifically a method he calls “Communion Journaling.” Initially hesitant to adopt this practice, Bayer emphasizes how journaling has become a critical part of his spiritual, emotional, and personal development. Through this method, he engages in a deeper connection with himself, God, and the universe.

Bayer explains that writing by hand, rather than typing, imprints thoughts more deeply into the brain and what he refers to as “the field,” reinforcing experiences and future intentions. He likens journaling to an ancient and sacred practice of materializing thoughts into the physical world, much like spellcasting.

The Communion Journaling process comprises three key steps: expressing gratitude, asking for what you want, and praying for others. Bayer highlights the importance of writing slowly to allow for a flow of inspiration and ideas that wouldn’t otherwise surface in faster forms of communication like typing. This slower process not only helps deepen the experience but also opens up a space for divine guidance and new insights.

He describes how this practice has led him to feel more connected, emotionally uplifted, and spiritually aligned, especially during the quiet early morning hours when the world is still. For Bayer, this process is not only a personal transformation tool but also a means of manifesting desires, both personal and collective, through prayer and intention.

Finally, he encourages listeners to adopt this practice, suggesting it can foster a deeper relationship with the self and a higher power, ultimately helping align daily actions with greater purpose.
